Santa Fe also has great breweries, distilleries and wineries that are worthy of the drive and an afternoon or an evening. Looking for a great beer, spirit or glass of wine? We’ve got you covered with these recommendations:
Santa Fe Brewing Co Headquarters
New Mexico’s oldest and most award-winning brewery. This place is huge with lots of fun indoor and outdoor seating, games, firepits and string lights for a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. They also have an on-sight giftshop and permanent food truck called Fusion Tacos. We encourage you to pick your own flight and try out there amazing brews. There are 2 floors inside as well as the grassy, tree-filled, luxurious patio area. In addition to their homemade craft beers, they offer wine, ciders and cocktails – 27 taps in total. You can take a tour on Saturdays at noon and there is live music on Thursday. They also host pint night on Wednesday.

Santa Fe Spirits Distillery & Tasting Room
The distillery tasting room is a beautiful space with floor to ceiling windows on three sides. The fourth wall features glass doors to the distillery, so all visitors to the tasting room can see the distillery in action. At this unique distillery, apples for the brandy are locally grown and the spirits are made with local botanicals and herbs. They have unique names for their tasting flights including the Whiskey Business. They also serve up amazing specialty cocktails like their apple brandy sidecar. They also serve food on-site – their chips and salsa are often raved about. Note that there is usually a longer wait, but it’s totally worth it. If you pop in just to check out the distillery, you can try everything for free to help you determine what you’d like to take home with you. They offer full size bottles as well as mini bottles of some of the products which makes travelling home a bit easier. Santa Fe Spirits Distillery also offers a cocktail 101 class and tours. Tours are educational as the guides have extensive knowledge of the distilling process and business.

Herve Wine Bar
This stunning wine bar is located one block from the historic plaza and serves local made D.H. Lescombes New Mexico wines and craft beer alongside an array of paired foods. Wine flights are also available if you’d like to fully tempt your palate. As for food, try a Herve Board – it’s large with a nice meat and cheese selection. The sitting area is open with lots of light flooding the room from the glass ceiling. A few tips here – check in on yelp for a free flight and while you are doing your tasting ask the staff about the origins of the wine for a fantastic story.
