Rebecca Ruth Candy Factory
Kentuckians are proud to call Ruth Hanly Booe the “Mother of Bourbon Balls.” Tours include the story of Ruth’s life, the history of Rebecca Ruth® Candy and “Edna’s Table”, a 12 foot curved marble slab named after an employee of 67 years. Guided tours include a candy sample. Tours are done on a walk-in (first come first serve) basis or can be scheduled 2 or more days in advance on Tripadvisor. There is a group limit of 15 individuals. Tours are given Monday – Saturday at: 10:30am, 11:00am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:00pm, & 2:30pm. Tours are roughly 30 minutes long. Cost is $6 for adults.

Buffalo Trace Distillery
Visit the most award-winning distillery in the world. Ancient buffalo carved paths through the wilderness that led American pioneers and explorers to new frontiers. One such trail led to the banks of the Kentucky River where Buffalo Trace Distillery has been making bourbon whiskey the same way for more than 200 years. The distillery is a designated National Historic Landmark. Visit Buffalo Trace Distillery for a variety of tours, interesting history, beautiful architecture and grounds, and tastings- all at no charge. Advanced reservations are encouraged; there may be some availability for walk-in experiences daily.

Frankfort Public Art Tour

With its more than 10,000 flowers, the Floral Clock is one of the most popular sites in Frankfort, as is the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a tribute in the form of a giant sundial whose shadow falls on the name of each fallen veteran commemorated on the granite plaza on the anniversary of his death.
