Frankfort Anime-Fest is an anime collectors’ mecca convention. Striving to be Kentucky’s best and truest anime convention featuring fandoms of multiple genres. As a long-time collector of anime, manga and pop culture items the promoter brings Kentucky an event that will satisfy all anime fandom! Francisco’s Farm Art Fair | May
The Francisco’s Farm Art Fair premiered in Spring of 2004 on the campus of Midway University. Since that time, artists from across the country have traveled to Midway, Kentucky each year to exhibit and sell their work. The Midway Renaissance named the event for Colonel John Francisco, the original owner of the property on which the city of Midway now stands. Known for it’s exuberant art vendors, due to a juried selection, this is one art fair not to miss. Food trucks and booths are on site as well.
Midway Fall Festival | September
Voted one of the best Festivals in Central Kentucky! Organized and hosted by the Midway Business Association and the City of Midway. There are a multitude of talented Arts & Crafts vendors, Sorghum & Pottery demonstrations, and delicious food vendors. Also live music, entertainment, children’s activities and loads of FUN for two days! Convenient parking within walking distance of the Festival. The train even comes through downtown during the festival. This is one festival not to be missed.
Bourbon on the Banks | October
Bourbon on the Banks returns in 2023 to historic Downtown Frankfort on the Banks of the picturesque Kentucky River. Dozens of bourbons will be featured, ranging from the largest most popular to the smallest and discreet. Integrated among the many distilleries are opportunities to interactively increase your knowledge of bourbon and its rich history.
Area microbreweries and wineries will also be giving samples as well. Food tents along with food trucks are also on hand with a wide and eclectic variety of foods to pair with the endless libations. Bottled spirits and wine are available for purchase.
Walk the banks of the Kentucky River, enjoy acoustic musicians, sample rare and unique bourbons, spirits, wine and beer.
